Virgin Media Ireland.

In 2021 Virgin Media Ireland led by their Learning and Development Director designed and launched their ‘BE Virgin Behaviours’. These behaviours were inclusive to all colleagues across the organisation and set out to create consistency across the business, support the development plans for each colleague, create conversations between Line Managers and their teams and finally, identify talent throughout Virgin Media Ireland.

With the behaviours launched and having met the Revolve team in May 2021, we began discussions about a partnership between our two organisations and specifically, how we could create further engagement with the ‘BE Virgin Behaviours’.

At Revolve we believe there is one consistent thing/skill that connects all colleagues and that is that first and foremost, we are all leaders of ourselves, and therefore whatever we did needed to include every colleague in the business and the behaviours were the catalyst for doing that.

And then came the “lightbulb moment”…there are 12 behaviours and last time we checked there are 12 months in a year!

And we were off, each month we would provide colleagues throughout the organisation with learning resources to support them in their understanding of each behaviour whilst providing them will skills and tools on a monthly basis.

Each month we provide 4 x live virtual learning events, 1 learning article and 1 pre-recorded learning video focused on the behaviour of the month, and finally every quarter we record a podcast that features a special guest from the business.

Also, we deliver Leadership and Management Development on a quarterly basis to leaders across the business with line management responsibility in the form of live virtual learning modules which focus on the 4 parts of our Connected Leader Framework – I Lead Myself, I Lead the Business, I Lead the Culture and I Lead People.
